Membership is earned through time, presence, and fit — not just interest.
The Path to the Patch
BTMC membership follows a defined process. It exists to protect the brotherhood and ensure the right people earn the patch.
Start by joining the BTMC Support Group in Second Life. Attend rides, get to know the club, and see if it's a fit. There's no pressure and no obligation to pursue membership.
If you want to pursue patched membership, declare your intent to a BTMC officer or Recruiter. This starts the formal Membership Candidate process.
30–60 days as an active Membership Candidate. The Recruiter tracks your participation and conduct. The President may shorten or waive this period.
If approved by the President, you enter the Prospect phase — a 30-day evaluation period. Complete assigned tasks, participate actively, wear your Prospect patch at all official events.
Eligibility requirements: Second Life account at least 30 days old · 18 years of age or older · Not a member of another motorcycle club within the past 30 days · BTMC does not patch over from other clubs.
